there's a lot of stuff here. Huge variety of styles and opportunities since almost every mom and pop casino to the big guys have music acts in their operation. LOTS of cover bands, tribute bands, etc are a pretty popular and go over very well compared to other places. We just had new years at Fremont street and it was a huge tribute band fest from 6pm to 2am. So there's definitely lots of good opportunity!!

I think Vegas has the cream of the crop when it comes to bands who get steady work.
I think the trick is to either put together a unique band that offers something different or is you are going to do covers, you will need an above average singer/front man.

There used to be an amazing band called yellow brick road in Vegas. Ive heard that they had a lot of lineup changes recently but they are still pretty busy, so to answer your question, Id be willing to bet that there is work to be had in Vegas.

YBR is a excellent band. They are kind of a regular to see when we were in Vegas. I saw them when they played at GVR or Boulder Station almost every time we were there. They were also a bunch of great guys. Always a good show

Darren a guitarist of your caliber should be able to keep busy. ;)

i hope you can keep the day gig while you get your feet wet in vegas. keep us in the loop
