Anyone know what synthesizer Donnie Osmond uses here?

Even if it only does the horse effect, I want this synthesizer!

Considering they're lip synching who knows how they may have done that in the studio.

That would be a great tune to cover, heavier.

Was the drummer in the bathroom smoking a joint when they were filming?

Is this a rhetorical question?

Maybe they thought no one would notice the vacant drum set just sitting there?  pretty cool song.

Not sure. I will ask my little sister when I see her again :D

Sorry man. I couldn't resist.

:hys:

Yes, oddly absent. But then, hey, the viewership back then with a few hits of low grade acid, maybe some mexi-grass, and a few mugs of local liquor, well, no one would really notice... Too busy itchin' the blisters from the last date, and sneaking skin mags under the sofa cushions.

Crazy ho'sess.

It's an organ, my educated guess says Yamaha YC30. The black keys are a giveaway for combo organs, they replace the bass pedals. I'm not a keys player but I love electric keyboards old and new

The real answer is Donnie Osmond isn't using a synthesizer at all in that video - He's using a bass. :D

This so belongs in an 80's metal forum...

Maybe we can get Ola to do a proper metal cover of it?

Then it would be worthy....

The synth is most likely a Yamaha CS series (probably CS50).
You can get the same effect with just about any synth (software or hardware) that allows you to set the range of the pitch wheel though. Just set it to
+/-24ST (2400ct) and you're good to go. The Yamaha CS series is almost impossible to come by, and if you do find one, be prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of money whether it's working or not. (esp. the CS80!)

Little known fact: Donnie Osmond was one of Jon Lord's biggest influences and inspirations

Or Roger Glover in this case

Wow, to even stumble across this is just too much. I think I want to start an Osmond's cover band just to wear those outfits. Bad ass. I think Stone Heavy Sound is right it looks just like a Yamaha YC30. Bet they just went up in value on the Sleazebay markets due to this post. LOL

I think Puppy Love was much heavier and rivaled Sabbaths massive wall of sound.
