The synth is most likely a Yamaha CS series (probably CS50).
You can get the same effect with just about any synth (software or hardware) that allows you to set the range of the pitch wheel though. Just set it to
+/-24ST (2400ct) and you're good to go. The Yamaha CS series is almost impossible to come by, and if you do find one, be prepared to pay a ridiculous amount of money whether it's working or not. (esp. the CS80!)
Thanks!

The Osmond's Crazy Horses track was a huge influence on many of us 70's kids. Merrill Osmond is one of the most underrated bass players ever; as is Jay Osmond as a percussionist. Listen to how Merrill locks-in with Jay... Jay's drumming is superb! Unfortunately their father put a stop to the hard-rock direction they were taking, and pushed the "Donnie and Marie" thing which basically destroyed the band.

The real answer is Donnie Osmond isn't using a synthesizer at all in that video - He's using a bass. :D
Errr... No, Merrill Osmond is playing bass. :cheers2:

Well then they look too fucking much alike then. ;)

Awesome. Al is the man. Also, is the OP Osmonds track real? I never knew they actually rocked. I realize it is a cover, but that is pretty rocking, especially for them, lip synching and all. I actually like that.

Fuck yeah I'm gonna cover this in my next band! lol perfect... I'm goin for a heavy 70's groove thing...

Fucked part is I HAD one of those Kustom tuck and roll half stack amps... sold it... :aww:

Sorry, I had the sound down (you can't expect me to watch and listen to something like that at the same time). :D

I love old 70's stuff like this!! They had some pretty good moves for white boys!

.....Funny thing, I didn't realize there was no drummer until Paul mentioned it!

I just saw this video the other day. The Osmonds were my favorite band as a kid until I heard Kiss. This tune is awesome!

  I loved this song when it came out. Sure it's dated now, but this was good clean fun for the whole family - which is why my dad hated it...
