Anyone like The Black Veil Brides?

My Daughter (13) likes these guys and I'm taking her to her first concert tomorrow night to see them with 4 other bands. I really dont know what I'm in for.
 
Bring ear plugs that make things completely silent. They do play Fuchs Mantis amps which is cool. Really bad music, and even worse image. Imagine early Motley Crue but with WAY more transgender tendencies. I love modern metal, not sure what this is. Emocore, with pop tendencies. Kid next door loves them too.

:lol: :LOL: :lol: :LOL: I think their music is bad and Their image is wayyy worse. tight fitting clothing, and long goth/emo hair.
 
Should be interesting. I glad I'll be the one taking her to her 1st concert.
 
you'll hate it, kids will probly like it. Be prepared to be disgusted with what modern music has become.
 
I like some early crue , I read an article in which they stated that they are heavily crue influenced, haven't heard them but they have that glam rock meats metalhead image. Judge for yourself, u might have fun an Its cool that u r taking your daughter
 
Shame it's not this but I don't think it's a fave of teenage girls :lol: :LOL:

Very cool.

Listen to a few of their videos. Weak guitar tone, pretty bland song writing. I hate the screaming. But it's not the worst thing I've ever heard. Like a bad version of My Chemical Romance. (Who I like)
 
I had some good fun slamming them on youtube with all the tweens that idolize them for their "talent." I enjoyed myself.

I dont care for the screaming but that wasn't that bad, I dont like it much but I've seen and heard so much worse. As long as she likes it I'll be happy.
 
My son (who's 10 now) was 8 when he went to his first concert - Alice Cooper. I took him to his first arena concert - Ac/Dc. Since then he's seen more bands than I can count. Very cool to see your kid rockin' out. Enjoy. :rock:

Their image is like SATD era Crue meets modern emo-pop...the music is just bad. A friend recommended them to me as a "modern day Crue"...not even close IMO.
 
My 10 year daughter loves them. She was pissed when I told her no to go to the show. But it was at a shity bar. There crowd is young girls so they will be huge very soon. My kid is stoked for drumming because of the former female drummer. So I am happy about that. What I have heard / read the lyrics are positive with darker imagery. I can't fault them just because I don't get it. I am glad she is listening to this rather than POP/RAP.

We started taking our kid to concerts at 4. The whole family like to go to shows so she has been to more concerts than many adults. Sadly her firsts were Hannah Montana and American Idol. Now she wants to go to the Black Veil Brides, A7X, and All That Remains. Poor kid is doomed to be a metalhead.
