Anyone play those new Bulgara amps?

My drummer's room mate bought the 5150 knockoff. I was not impressed with it at all. The tone knobs didn't really make a difference, and it sounded like hammered ass. (IMHO)

I've read lots of stuff about them breaking quite often. Not surprising for a Behringer product. :lol: :LOL:
 
My friend disagrees with me on this, but personally I would rather buy a quality USED product than a cheap knockoff.

So for me I would rather have a used Peavey TripleXXX or 5150 than the Bugera amps. My buddy likes the warranty so he would buy the Bugeras new and go from there.
 
I've seen so many people blend Bugera with the country Bulgaria when spelling and talking about them. :lol: :LOL:
That's what they get for having such a crappy name... and amp. :D
 
The first run of Revolution Series 1 heads were reworked Sovtech amps....
 
If its made by Behringer, I bet it will not last 6 weeks without a failure !
 
As a spare amp or to slave another amp - why not?
Most issues I've heard of were tube related.

The only replies i've see are good ones. People really seem to like these amps and I myself have considered trying one out. :confused:
 
well, lets say you spend $750-$800 for a used 5150 in like new condition, which is around where they go for on Ebay in good condition


or you spend $350 for a new Bugera 6260, brand new and comes with a warranty, you spend another $150 for a set of nice tubes, $100 for a EQ pedal, $100 for a OD, all to enhance the sound quality, and you could have a new kickass amp with a warranty for $700

Honestly, i'd probably pick the bugera if it lived up to what people say it does =/

a local guitar shop has a couple of these in, I might try one out sometime with a TS9 and a decent cab to see how it sounds

i dont know why people say this, theres behringer gear in basically every big name rig pics i see on these boards, i worked for a big wedding band doing four gigs a week for years with tons of behringer gear and never had a problem, and we werent the most gentle of dudes. the whole "behringer is unreliable" thing is a bunch of bullshit to me.

It depends on what piece of Behringer gear you are talking about. When my buddy bought a behringer keyboard amp the sales person says enjoy the amp or we will see you in about 2 weeks. The sales person had seen alot of the keyboard amps come back. Its hit or miss. The same friend uses a behringer pa power amp with no problems, but has blown both of the drivers out of the powered subs.

My bass player has a bugera 410 hartke cab copy with the Aluminum cones. The bass guys tell me its unreliable, but its been fine. I do think my Ampeg SVT410 cab sounds much better though (he is borrowing it so he doesn't have to drag his cab back and forth to practice)
 
bunch of guys in my area have them. lots of break downs from consistent gigging.
