I still play esp and currently own 6 right now, i was counting up all the esp guitars i owned over the years and so far i owned 20 of them, i got my first esp back in 1998.
I only had 2 or 3 that i wasnt happy with but im sure the next guy that bought them might have loved them, most of the stuff i owned was from the K-custom shop= kiso shop and a few from the T-custom shop = takada shop, i cant really complain about the quality since most of them are built better than my guitars made in the usa. The custom shop stuff is on a different level than the regular esp standard series stuff. Most of the esp stuff i see in stores have a SS serial number and thats the standard series which arent bad but i really like the stuff with the K or T serial numbers. Then theres the ch and th serials which are the crafthouse and techical house but i dont think i have owned any of those yet.

I have only owned one ESP (and still own). It's the MII in my avatar. Made in the early 90's. It is one of the best sounding/playing guitars I have owned. Really love it. I have this neck \/ and need to find a body for it. It was signed by George Lynch.
