Ideally I'd like to run my pedalboard's AC power down my snake so that I only have 1 cable from backline to pedalboard.

I only run some pedals into the front of the amp (all isolated, no fx loop used)

Anyone else successfully run their pedalboards AC power through their snake?

cheers

Typically I would never run a power cable in parallel to a signal cable for fear of inducing 60 cycle hum, however I have seen instances where this has been done without any hum. I would say try it and see if you induce any hum. If not go for it.

yes... i use a pedal snake... check them out they are killer!

I have one

I want to run AC mains power (240V) in my snake

I've done it with out any issues 120VAC that is... Personally I would run DC power down the snake instead, less bulk and keep all your AC power back at the Amp location unless you have a pedal on your board that requires AC.

i have a PP2+ on my board, so I'll have to run AC in order to power that

cheers

Done that for years without issues. Use a quality power cable and you should be fine.

One of my looms on tour has AC and signal in it and has zero probs with noise induction. You just have to make sure that you use quality AC cable with a proper thick jacket as well as quality guitar cable (I use all Canare GS-6 for the guys I tech for) and you should be good to go.

I use one in my snake. It's a heavy duty thick guage cord and I'm also using Mogami TRS cables because its a 20' run. I've had no problems with noise.
