Anyone running OD pedals at 12v?

I'm just curious to see who else is doing this, I switched my Timmy up to 12v last night and holy crap it was like a different pedal... I got a LOT more usable gain out of it, plus it seems to have a wider frequency response and really opened this thing up... it's got some major balls to it even more so than before!!!

Just curious who else is using OD's like this?

I like the OCD with 12V - it sounds much clearer and more transparent, it has more headroom and is less compressing.

I'd like to check it out with 18V..

Yea it's pretty nuts, I've got to look into getting some 18v cables for my PP 2+

I've been running my OCD at 18 volts for awhile, more headroom and slightly more open sounding, but I did not think it was night and day different ;)

It made a really big difference for me with my Timmy pedal, but I realized that I've been running it on the "sag" position of my pedal power two plus and I have no idea which way the damn knob makes the voltage turn either up or down???

The sagfunction lowers the voltage from 9 down to 4 Volts when turned from right to left (check your pedals Indicator LED - it will get weaker with lower voltage).
This function makes an overdrive pedal drive more with a muddier tone, sounds really good with fuzzes and makes more of a brown sound.

With the OCD and a Tele, theres quite a difference between 8 and 12 volts - still the same pedal so it wont change the sound completely but noticable.

Yea I had it all the way to the right so I'm assuming that's the 9v position? I can't speak for every pedal but for the Timmy IMHO it was a NIGHT and day difference!

I prefer running my ocd at 18v. My MI audio crunchbox goes from unusable (for me anyway) at 9v to great at 18v and it's even better at 24v.

Nice man, do you know where to get cables for the pedal power two plus that jumper two channels?

Thanks!

+1. I think there is a pretty big difference going from 9 to 18v with my OCD. It is bigger and thicker sounding to me.

Voodoo labs has them, they are pretty short, you might ask about some longer ones
