Demand some cash back from Jackson and keep the now rare 23 fretter

That story is just so damn disturbing! I hope Jackson CS seriously sees this.

OOPS... oh shit..

How the fuck do they explain that ?

I think you summed it up pretty well with "OOPS... oh shit..." LOL

no guitar is worth that - my OCD would drive me nuts looking at that sumbitch. every time I played it I'd know it was a lemon

That is a complete atrocity.

This guy who owns the 23-fretter needs to speak up more and make himself heard. I applaud him for being so patient and lenient, but having Jackson NOT put his name at the top of the list is insulting. I'd have Jackson giving me a new guitar in 2 weeks.

There are so many creative things he could do to bring this to their attention. One of which would be to put up a song on Youtube about his 23 fret guitar. I'd name it/theme it something like "One fret short of stardom..." or something like that. Or maybe a song telling the lonely/missing 24th fret's side of the story..."Fretting Out."
Remember what it did for these guys:

it's also disturbing that Matt's was so unsupportive at the beginning (according to what was posted). Is that normal with them? It seems Matt's didn't even want to contact Jackson initially for some reason , and when he did there doesnt't seem to be any understanding/compassion while relaying Jackson's response that the guitar was fine and couldn't be built any better. The guy did get a refund from Matts at the end, but the initial interaction was worrying.

Wow....to pass that through their quality control is really not acceptable. That is a huge oversight.

A beautiful instrument regardless.

:)
