I'm liking sigle coils more and more. Nice guitar for sure.

Definitely dig Paul but that guitar is a monstrosity. :dunno:

I I just put he Injector/ 67' pups in my Charvel and the sound is soooo sexxxy! The Injector has the balls of a humbucker and a clarity and harmonics of a single coil.

No way would I be caught playing one of those. The raging hard on upper horn...no freakin way.

That design is "Take or leave it". :) I'll take it! So glad an affordable version has come out. Loved this guitar since I layed eyes on it. time to start saving on da side. I have a problem though. My band is rehearsing at our house these days so I don't have a studio to hide it in for a while! :D Oh well I'll pay the pound of flesh or for new curtains or whatever! It'll be worth it!

Yeah it's ugly as f_ck no matter how many times i try to look at it and appreciate it. Sounds great though.

Too bad its made in China. They should have made it in Japan and priced it like the 301.

The upper horn looks like a harpoon and the lower one looks like a can opener. That is one fugly guitar, IMO.

That's definitely the case for this guitar. I personally don't care for it but, it's pretty cool that it is coming out.

I've been playing 3 single coils a lot lately, but that guitar is a mess...I'll pass

Agreed.

Don't care for the guitar , but the injector's have my interest. They are $200 a set alone! I'm thinking of putting them in my Legacy strat.

George took the words out of my mouth, that thing is prohibitively ugly. Love Paul but Ive never been a fan of his tone beyond Racer X and even then I wasnt bowled over.

Am I the only one who thinks that these pickups dont sound single coil/stratty at all?

They don't, but they're not really supposed to.

From the Dimarzio site: "The Injector™ Bridge Model is one of our hottest hum-canceling models (185mV output) with six individual Alnico magnets. The sound is not like a vintage single-coil: highs are bright but not glassy, and lows are solid and defined. It was designed to work equally well with rapid single-note arpeggios and power chords without becoming muddy or compressed. It has about 40% less magnet-pull than standard single-coils, and this is essential for the superior speed and dynamic range with which this pickup responds to pick attack. Paul’s setup on the guitar he played on “Fuzz Universe” was Injector™ Neck Model in the neck, Area 67™ in the middle, and Injector™ Bridge Model in the bridge. The Injector™ is a lot louder and warmer than the Area 67™ but the combination produces varied tonal colors in the 2 and 4 positions, with the Area 67™ alone providing vintage tone and the Injector™ Neck and Bridge for heavier sounds."

Oh... and the guitar, I like it. Want.

Pretty much my sentiments as well... Ibanez has lost their mind on the pricing.
