I saw them earlier this year in February and I'm going to see them again Wednesday next week in Buford, Georgia. George is back to the George of old, at least to his classic playing style and his chops have improved greatly. I've seen some hit and miss videos of george on YouTube in the past, but as many recent threads have shown, the man has returned.

I would but they are not hitting any venues near me. I agree that GL has sharpened up his skills as of late.

Lynch Mob opened for MSG a year or so ago and that show wasn't his best. Actually, the sound guy probably had a lot to do with that. The Souls of We show I saw about 2 years ago was great though. GL killed at that one.

Still playing without enough gain when I saw him....seemed to be fighting it a lot.

Was still a good show though and Oni was awesome!

Is he still wearing the gloves?

He wasn't wearing gloves when I saw him. He was smoking quite a bit though. I talked to him before the doors opened to the club, as he came outside for a smoke. There was only a few guys including myself standing around. He was funny though, because we were just chatting a bit with him and he cracked a smile and said can't a guy get a smoke in peace? George has been humble most times I've meet him in person, since the late 1990's from my perspective.

Agreed on the still not enough gain stuff. Also on him fighting. On a nightly basis i think you get what you get. He experiments a lot because he has been playing the same shit for years. When I see clips as of late I still don't see him back to form of old but he is "good". Still some things going in and out of key.. too much for my liking . I 've mentioned that in other threads before. No excuse either, look at Warren Demartini, he still kicks ass and they were peers.

I don't think he practices nearly as much as he did in the 80s as there was so much competition going on between Warren and himself, Yngwie, etc. which caused him to really light up a fire in his playing. George just may have reached a point where he has relaxed, matured and is trying to use less gain to do the same stuff in the past. People who are going to notice the most due through scrutiny would be other musicians and not necessarily the fans in the crowd. JMHO.

Going tonight for the opening show of tour in Houston at a place called the flamingo room...

I may try to catch them next Wednesday in Buford, GA.
Any requests? :D

Yup, in fact my band got an opening slot for a show.. super excited never seen lynch before..

Yes, I am planning on it here in Chicagoland and I also saw them in January at the Token Lounge in Westland, MI (Detroit area).

Well got back from the first show and Oni Logan was not singing. Not sure what is up but I had thought he was going to play on this tour. Maybe it was just this show.

I will say though he tore it up playing, he hasn't lost a thing in my book.

I guess I'll find out who's singing this coming Wednesday? I heard Oni lives in Switzerland, so maybe something came up that prevented him from appearing on this tour? I'll hang around after show and ask George, if Oni isn't singing next week.
