Anyone try the Bare Knuckle True Grit humbuckers?

If so, what did you think?

I'm interested in these, and wondering if they'd be a good option for all mahogany guitars. I have been gravitating toward medium output sets lately.

I've watched the youtube demos that are out there, and it's kind of hard to get a good read on the pickups from those. They seem like they don't have an overwhelming character to them. That could be good and bad, I guess.

Any users?

I have BKPs in all of my guitars...just love them. They have such good clarity and they are so much more pick sensitive than any others I've used.
Have not tried the True Grit...but if they are like other BKs give them a shot.
The Black Dog might be a good fit as well.

The True Grits are excellent and a great choice for LP style guitars - they’re in the same ballpark as the Rebel Yells (same wire gauge and similar output), which is one of the most highly regarded sets of the BKP humbucker range.
I’d definitely say they have character, they’re quite PAFy but with more power and beefed up midrange.

Thanks for that. I’m looking for a bit of a change in my Parker Nitefly. It’s got Gravity Storms in it now. I love the neck pickup, but the bridge has a metric ton of midrange and the Dimarzio vowel tone in spades. i generally like them, but lately Im thinking that I might be ready to try something else.

I like a bit of push, but they don’t need to be super hot. medium output is appealing, as long as they handle gain well.

I have Aftermaths in an Ibanez, and they kick all sorts of ass. I want this guitar to be more all-purpose.
