Picking up a Pod HD 500 mainly for recording but I'd like to try it live too. Looking for a cost effective power solution. I've tried previous pods into the board and it sounded like complete ass, so I want to go into a guitar cab. Here's what I'm thinking:

Tech 21 power engine. Fairly inexpensive, 60 watt powered cab with a 90 watt celestion.
Or a cheap tube power amp or one of those EH solid state pedal-sized amps, and use my Boogie 212.

What's the best way to do this?

I used one with an older Pod, and it was great but did slightly vibrate when you had it cranked.

Get 2...stereo!!

Do you know if it can power another passive cab, like the powered atomic cabs? That way I could use it to power my 212 and have a cool stereo rig.

Not that I'm aware of. Kind of "what you see is what you get" IIRC. Check the website though. They might have that answer.

I had a Power Engine 60 for a short while to see if I could make it work with a Tonelab LE for practice and a grab and go rig. It ended up not working out. There was some kind of wierd mid thing going on that I couldn't dial out. The cleans sounded pretty good but anything with gain was honky.
