It's better to have stuff be more portable - not only from a weight standpoint, but also I've learned that the heavier your cases are, the more they get slammed and dropped by roadies. Make it easy for them to move and they will make it easy on your equipment.
Back when I was young, verile, and dumb as a rock, I had an Anvil case that held 4 Marshall heads plus six rack spaces that formerly belonged to Marc Ferrari. It was great to roll on stage and back off and made setup a breeze. But it sure pisses you off when a couple of guys lose control of it when it's coming down the loadout ramp.![]()
