i've been using Warmoth stuff for a long time. I usually use the standard contour on my necks but now I'm looking for something a little different. Maybe a bit more "shredddy" How's the wizard contour? I assume it's modeled after an Ibanez. Seems like it would be fun to play.

I've got a few Wizard necks. I order all my Warmoth necks with Compound Radius and either 6100 or 6115 frets.
For a long time, I absolutely loved the slimmer Wizard profile. I recently came into a 'new' Warmoth neck with a standard' contour and honestly preferred it. I do think Warmoth has slimmed down their 'standard' profile over the years - it used to be more like a ball-bat. But the most recent one I picked up really feels nice.

You say a wizard neck "seems like it would be fun to play." Have you ever played a guitar with a super thin neck like that?

Some people love them, but I do a lot of playing that could be considered fast or even shreddy and I can't stand thin necks at all. To me they feel like I'm playing on a ruler, and they tend to cramp my hand up quick as well. Basically I'm just suggesting that you spend some time trying out a thin neck before committing to it, because in my experience they can be pretty polarizing.

I had one on a partscaster. It's not quite the same as an actual Ibanez wizard, the shoulders feel a bit more rounded to me. Comfortable neck overall though, it's the closest thing you can get to a shred neck from Warmoth.

Might want to consider the Musikraft Thin D, it is a killer neck shape.
