there is a retarded amount of single coil strat pups on the seymour webpage
shit is confusing af since they all look cool
i have a really great mexican strat from 92 and it has decent stock pups in it but i am wondering about these joints
anyone tried either model in the bridge?

JbJr is a damn fine pickup, too bright for some but imho lovely for hair metal and nwobhm. Not remotely close to a regular strat single coil, consider that

I used a JBjnr for years in my strat..sounds great but to me it does not sound like the humbucker version. It could just be the guitar it is in of course

I used a bridge version in the neck of a Strat for years.
It sounds good, but if you want a sound that's closer to a humbucker, I'd recommend some of the rail offerings.

I also had a hot rail in a Strat. It sounded perfectly fine for rock and metal. Probably too loose for modern/djent, but worked nice for anything else. It's a very hot pickup, so you lose the glassy cleans. I more or less always use the neck PU for cleans anyway.

If you want to try out a good, and reasonably priced single-coil sized bucker, you could order one of these. It's half the price of a SD, but you'll have to calculate shipping as well, of course. I live in Norway, so I wasn't raped on shipping, it probably gets more expensive to ship to the US.
