So... I'm obviously a big noob with this stuff (first time trying to reamp) and I need help.
My Redeye arrived and I read the manual. Pretty sure I'm doing the right thing but got a question.
I record my direct signal on track with no problem through Redeye. Then when it's time to reamp, I plug in to the "instrument in/through" input on the back and go out from Reamp out and in my amp. The sound I'm getting (with output levels MAX on my sound card and Reamp volume max on Redeye) very little sound.
Only way I could get a nice signal flow was when went Computer > Behringer DI box > Redeye instrument in/through > Redeye reamp out > Amp.
That way I get a nice and strong signal but with lots of hiss. And even then besides the hiss, the sound I'm getting is nothing like playing directly through my amp. It's a good but different/colored sound.
I kinda thought Redeye was a standalone unit where you don't need phantom power or any other device to magnify the signal while you're reamping. What am I doing wrong here?!
Thanks in advance.
