With the costs of getting a headshell for a JCM800 build hitting almost 400 bucks ... I've decided to build my own .
I went with the full size replica chassis from Mojotone
And stupid me didn't take actual measurements of the 2203X headshell I had in my studio a few weeks ago ...
I'm finding conflicting dimensions online ......
can anyone give me dims on their head ..... just the outside measurents are fine .... Width x Depth x Height

how you gonna build it? Dovetails or butt joints? I don't have a dovetail jig so all I do is butt joint on the furniture I build.

I've got a finger joint jig for my table saw .... and just picked up a 1/4 inch flat top Dado blade for it ...
I've got a dovetail jig for my router .... but it only lets you do " half blind " joints

Mines a jmp but it’s 27.75 wide x 7.5 deep x 9.5in tall. And that’s inner dimensions. Ply is either half inch or 5/8. Front panel is much thinner. Corners are a 3/4 round over I think but il need to check that.

sounds like you are spot on to most of the dims I'm finding online ..... I'm pretty sure Marshall uses 5/8 ... and I think you are right on the round over too ...

thanks a bunch Chubbs !
