Anything horrible looking about this?

Kind of an up and coming brand who's products I often see at shows last few years, but haven't seen their power supply yet. Looks ok to me so far. Allegedly isolated outs, 2 at 500mA

They probably just took the design from another popular product and copied it, whether it has quality components or not I dont know. Though, I could be wrong

Idk why anyone would spend that much on a cheap looking supply with a total of 4 isolated outlets.


Oh, I see it runs off of a battery.

I can tell you from experience as someone who relies a lot on battery power/solar and such.....

I don't want a battery bank for my board. Too finicky.

If it is hot/cold/just a bit of age - you do not get the time out of your bank expected.

It would be a literal nightmare to have to use one of these for anything that wasn't just sitting around my house goofing around.

I just imagine being at a gig and the battery having an issue or starting to die too quickly and then.... No board for you.


At that price point, I would look elsewhere easily.

I would either get a cheap donner for $50, or spend the money for a cioks, strymon, voodoo, etc.

For the money, I would rather get the Truetone CS6.

Really, the Cioks is the best of the bunch, but the Truetone is good for the price.

I have what appears to be a very similar supply but without the internal battery (two taps adjustable voltage and then 9v daisy chained together, and dc input) and it works fine. This sort of thing is Chinese made but probably decent.

Mine was like £40 but also no internal battery so….

Do some googling you’ll probably find the same thing under multiple brand names. As far as battery life goes just remember to turn it off when you’re done. Unless you’re using a lot of digital FX, analog stuff is not that current hungry. Like, overdrive pedals, the indicator LED usually sucks more current than the rest of the circuit.

As someone who bought a Strymon only to have the black power supply section take a shit without even bringing it to a single gig I have to agree with this.
