Apple Mac mini GC recording bundle

Anybody here on RT have or buy that Apple Mac mini recording bundle at Guitar Center for $999.00 ? Is it any good ? I was thinking about getting it for myself for Christmas if it's any good. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys .

I used mac Minis at my last job years ago and loved them. The package seems good but never tried it.

It's a decent setup. Go through MF instead of GC and save on taxes. Then go through MF and get them to let you use a 15% off coupon. Make sure to click through ebates to save another 4%. $815 total.

Run it and get a feel for it first but yeah 2GB isn't much memory and it's cheap to replace. The 500GB hard drive should be fine for a while though.
