Are these Ibanez going for this much now? Because of EVH?

He itemizes a list of what he had done and the prices. $150 for vintage Schaller tuners (and screws)?

Crazy. The guitar won’t play itself. For that price it should. ?

That's pretty optimistic, but there's a good chance some pinecone will shell out the cash.

The mid 70's Rocket Rolls Command big money to. LAWSUIT guitars lol

My number one is a ‘78 Ibanez ST-100. Ive had it 25 years and it is my Eddie guitar. 25.5” scale, 3 ply quartersawn maple neck, JB bridge, Fender Pure Nickel 10’s, EVH knobs. That guitar forced me to look at everything and EVH guided me to many discoveries. Nothing sounds like it. It is MINE!

One thing is for certain is that is one bad ass piece of guitar history!!

With those Bigsby mounting holes in the body, I don't know how one would value it? $200.00, maybe? :D

Neither the Destroyer / Explorer or the Rocket Roll / Flying V were ever built from Limba / Korina. Both guitars were built from Sen / Japanese Ash.

The guys ad actually states that its made from Sen, not Korina.
Shows how much I know. Haha. I always assumed those earlier ones were. My first decent guitar was an 82 Cherry sunburst Destroyer; I still have my 85 yellow tiger stripe version..beat to all hell.

Those guitars were / are great. There was just always the perception they were direct 58' Explorer / Flying V copies and made from Limba / Korina. when you get them side by side you can see the difference in the grain of the wood.

I had one of those Destroyers several yrs ago but never jelled with it. The neck on mine was to thick but it sounded good.

FWIW, I bought a Gibson Explorer not that long ago for not much over a grand and that thing might be my best sounding guitar. Unwieldy in tight spaces but it balances and plays fantastic. It's currently my benchmark for tone...right there with the lester (not quite as much sting on top). Not too heavy either.
