Sorry to any worthy mail carriers, but I ordered $100 or so worth of printed metal picks. (I like metal picks, sorry.) I got the envelope with my invoice, but no picks... and the envelope had this wrapped around it:

ALL my picks were gone. Instead of 'we care' the USPS thing should have read 'we fucked you'.

It happens. They'll pay for it. When you're dealing with the volume of stuff they do, things are bound to happen.

I've had nothing but success with the USPS and they are my go to carrier when going international. I flat out stopped using UPS and Fed-Ex is hit or miss. For my $$$, the USPS cannot be beat.

Well, I had 'free' shipping from Clayton Picks, so no option to buy insurance. I looked closer at the envelope, some motherfucker at USPS slit the side about 4" and took the picks out. No idea if they were the party who gave me the 'we care' bag. Hopefully Clayton covers it or did insure the package. I can't believe some lowlife dirtdick would steal picks custom printed. I guess they liked shiny things. Maybe my band has fans somewhere between here and Oregon. ;0

UPS needs some more cameras around, or in the trucks, if this happening. Why risk your job over this kind of thing - let alone picks?

Strange, but it seems that they have admitted fault. I have gotten some stuff that was competely ripped apart, as if they looking for something, but never a padded envelope.

Clayton is reprinting my picks and said they should ship tomorrow or wednesday at latest. Woot.

USPS (or at least one of their employees) can kiss my ass. Rat bastard!

Man that really really sucks. I've had a V30 speaker stolen by USPS. I took it to USPS store, Shipped it and that was the last time I saw it.... had to refund the guy the money back and by by $80.....

Sadly, I still use USPS on a weekly basis for pedals. That's how BAD UPS and Fed Ex haver been.....

If it was in an envelope I'm betting they fell out.

Exactly. Plus the picks are always in a bag too, at least the regular ones I ordered in the past were. These were metal, so I don't know. maybe some fucker felt the envelope and figured it was full of rare coins or something. They have already been reprinted and shipped FEDEX this time. let's see how honest the fedex drones are.

Yeah I read this....
would never double cross Pete(or anyone)...he is my Homie!
I am sure its what he just posted. Some dumb ass Mail handler working in processing felt/heard the metal in there...and probably thought they were coins. Assholes work every where....then I bet once the contents were discovered..
he tossed the envelope back into the processing stream.....where it shows up at the mail case....where a Carrier (my job)
has to put an empty envelope in a "we are sorry bag" and go take the heat.
Or it could of gotten busted open in Machine processing? But the slit sounds pretty suspicious.
Seems like with Metal picks they should of been in a Box though and not a padded bag.
Sorry for your Loss Pete. Again....there are crooked mutha fucks in every field of work. Gives us all a bad name. :aww:
But for every 1 bad apple.....I know there are hundreds that go out of the way to do it right.

Yeah well FUCK FEDEX to. A guy shipped a pedal to me on Saturday and he's 35 minutes away. It showed up today at 6:30pm. Don't they know I'm an impatient guitar player and I probably would have tried and sold this thing already.
