Attenuator Question

I have a 50 watt tube amp and a chance to get an attenuator that's rated for 30 watts max. The amp has a master volume and I never have the master even close to half-way. I have cranked it and know how loud it gets. Just based on that I doubt I run it even 1/4 power. Based on this (and knowing if I crank the amp it most likely would damage the attenuator) do you think I'd be OK with the 30 watts if the amp is kept at low volumes?

Yeaaaa, i wouldn't do that. I would highly recommend the rating is aligned, Wattage isn't constant.
