attenuators are only good for knocking a few db's off. with a master volume amp I wouldn't waste my money. I Have had many and have spent tons on these mediocre in a box tone. UA-hotplate-Rivera crunch box-weber mass- pb100- jetcity - when will I learn it doesn't work

A good MV is better than a crappy attenuator. However there are good attenuators out there, but they cost close to 1K.

Scumback speakers has a great attenuator. Formally the ''Alex" design
$450.00 is cheap for a really good one.

But,is the Master at 12:00/Channel volumes at 9:00 too loud?
I'm playing at really low channel volumes at night (to keep the peace)
and the loop/tone is still good.

Just tried the badcat unleashed and it wasn't so bad.

But I have found that having the Master at noon and channel volumes at nine is probably the best setting for bedroom playing.
