They're both $300 and both have celestion vintage 30 s in them. The only difference is the Randall has wheels. I'm playing mostly Hard Rock and metal which one would be the better purchase? I'm using a jet City jca22h and hopefully picking up the cab around 5pm. Thoughts and opinions please.

gotta have wheels. a randall with wheels will sell much easier and for more than an avatar with no wheels should you want to sell

If you can play both first I would do that. Also you can always add casters to an cab very easily if you ever find one without them.

What's the build quality difference? And no they are in another state I am ordering them. I did play through the 412 version of the Avatar though. Kind of reminded me of an Orange Cab and had more of a cushioned sound to it. Also the Avatar is $10 cheaper but I don't really think that makes a difference.

By the way are all the v30s now made in China so doesn't really matter what cab I get?

The cheaper randall cabs are super light. I have a bunch of the 2x12/1x15 cabs and they are very light weight. They have not given me trouble, but i dont move them around much. I also have some premium Randall cabs that are way heavier and better built that are bad ass.

I'm betting the Avitar cabs are better built, tho i have no experience with them.

Well the Avatar cab is on the way if I get a shot with the Randall I might compare them
