AX8 + Ground Control/GCX

WARNING: This is probably a dumb question.

Is anyone here using the AX8 in a rack rather than as a pedal board? It looks like the midi implementation should allow this but I am not really finding any tutorials about it. I have a Ground Control Pro and GCX that I would prefer to use for a number of reasons.

Primarily for the loops but also because I don't like cable spaghetti. With the Ground Control/GCX, I can eliminate all but a single midi cable. I can run the AX8 4CM without all of those cables, loop cables, etc. I think it opens a bunch more possibilities in general as well. For example, I can literally use the GCX to switch between multiple rigs if I want and take the AX8 completely out of the scene. So much you can do with the GCX it's crazy.

A bit related...this helped clean up my cable spaghetti:
Techflex CCP1.00BK25 Flexo Clean Cut 1-Inch Braided Cable Sleeve, Black - 25 Feet

google it up; I bought mine on Amazon
It's elastic easily fits all the cables needed. Color code it with electric tape and you are set to jet

AX8 is much cheaper and I already have it.

I did get an answer from Fractal, the AX8 is fully controllable via MIDI with the Ground Control Pro. I can do exactly what I wanted.
