Axe FX +Atomic Powered Cab

Anyone have experience with this?

Can I use a powered cab and a passive wedge?

How does it sound?

Im thinking of keeping everything simple, just AXE FX and powered atomic cab....but Im sorta newish at using them, and heaven forbid I look for info on the fA forum :gethim:
 
I was up at fractal and heard some of the atomic stuff, it was really nice, favorite set up was 2 powered wedges in stereo and axe. For me I coudl get away with 1 wedge. It sounded great, check out youtube there is a Pete Thorn vid demo'ing the powered wedges
 
Not sure about the powered cab and passive wedge combo, but check out these sounds.

bet they aren't cheap for the dual setup though huh?
 
I have the Ultra and a powered wedge. I love this setup. Very simple and sounds great imho. I did try an ART SLA2 with a guitar cab and it sounded pretty good but I do like the Atomic/Axe better.

Im really looking forward to this set up...now I need to figure out how to use axe edit with my mac...

Also, I'm pretty sure you can use the powered cabs as regular passive cabs with your other amps. :thumbsup:

True but he's not your "avg Joe" I'm sure he has his
own sound guy,gear etc.
As opposed to somebody like me who needs alot of volume
because house sound guys don't care.
