I'm trying to figure out how to gain access to individual parameters (ex: chorus on/off) within patches in the Axe Fx Ultra using the 'all access' mode in the Ground Control Pro and wondered if anyone had figured out how to control those w/ the GCP yet..... Hope I'm explaining that right....
Anybody using that combo??!??

I was reading ralph's owner's manual while at the fortin hang, I did not see anything about this....................

Yeah Scotty, I was at Ralphs sunday, we were trying to come up with a way to do this, I'm hoping this'll work but I CANT find any info directly related to this an I dont wanna buy yet ANOTHER fkn pedal to interface...   :aww:  :gethim: :( :( :( I'll go try fractals site again.... :(

Go to the I/O->CTRL menu. Scroll down to the effect you want to control. Press Enter. Tap the footswitch you desire to use for this on the GCP. Rock out.

Its funny how easy these things turn out to be. BUT if you don't know, trying to find it can be a real bitch.

Ok... didnt quite work out as expected.... I hit enter and the corresponding switch on the GCP, and although I see it go into 'learning' mode, make a change from 'none' to a numerical value, and the 'midi in' lite on the Axe is getting i/p signal from the GCP upon being switched, it's not effecting any change in the Axe.... Ive tried different parameters within the Axe to shut on/off, and assigned it to different buttons on the GCP, to no avail... I'm guessing theres still something I dont have correctly assigned in the GCP but I'm damned if I can find it... FWIW, Ralph says he's tried the same thing on his rig w/ the same setup/same results...
Cliff??!?? anyone?? Ummm.... Help??!???

face it.... We're midiots!!!

Is the effect in the matrix? If so, go to the layout page. When you toggle the IA switch on the GCP the effect should toggle between solid and dotted. When dotted it means it's bypassed.

Cliff!!

We have a patch where we have a drive block in front of the amp. We are using Drive 1. Then we went to the I/O->CTRL menu scrolled down to drive 1 hit enter and then the learn light came on. We hit a GCP button and that gave us a numeric value and all looked great! The problem is that when you go to the patch and hit the assigned button it doesn't kick the drive in and out. There is no dotted lines although you can see that the AXE-FX is getting information from the GCP.
Im able to get this to work on my Midi-mate thanks to the tutorial but no luck on the GCP yet!
I'm wondering if we have something set wrong on the GCP?

Yeah, I'm unable to switch any/all effects in a particular preset, I went into the layout first to see what i was working with, once assigned, I cant get ANY of the effects in any patch to turn on/off even though the midi light is registering... I'm not sure what the heck I'm missing here... my updates 7.16 I believe... would the recent upgrade help??!?? I'm outa resonable thoughts/guesses of my own....

Sounds like the MIDI channel may not be set. The Axe-Fx defaults to MIDI Channel 1. If the GCP is sending the controller on a different channel nothing will happen.

The easiest thing is to set the Axe-Fx MIDI Channel to OMNI (listen on all channels).
