Think loud clean that takes well to pedals. Those amps were build on SVT chassis and transsformer.
The clip is a model of a TS808 and clean boost hitting the model of a Ampeg SVT with a ODS Skyliner tone stack.
I haven't had more fun tweaking shit ever, that box is such a fun ride.

Ed, cool you gave Ray a nod in the GP interview. Maybe before he's 86 they might do a feature on him.

My SSS references are the SRV first album and EJ.

I can see the fun of endlessly tweeking, but IMO your amp tones.....ANY amp, are far superior.
When and if he finished up his new CD he'll likely get a lot of press I think, I'm still waiting for a big RIP Hiram Bullock story.

As for the Axe, I dunno whether the recorded tones are better or worse. However, the convenience of it being direct vs. miking stuff is huge for me. And live through the VHT power amp and cab miked I can't tell a difference.

Here ya go...
one is the Axe one a Sig X...

Ed! Thanks for sharing your patches! I think you guys are going to drag me kicking and screaming back into playing guitar. :D

I wouldn't dare ask this on TGP, but is the Dumble tone basically a Fender-ish vibe with a clean tone that has a certain sustain that normally requires more overdrive/compression ? Basically a nice clean tone with the sustain of a lead channel to enable soloing with an easy to play feel using a pure clean tone (no dirt) ?
