I've got to recommend one of these to those of you who have great sounding single channel high gain amps with no loop..GET one of these! I just grabbed one off of ebay used and it works great with my Aldrich modded Marshall as a lead boost and added FX loop..very transparent! I think running a delay AFTER the amp but before the cab gives a great unaltered tone. I won't really use it as an attenuator but for 379 you can keep your favorite old school Marshall unmolested and use one of these. I don't know how well it works with a clean sound because I just don't use a lot of clean tones...but now you can keep your JMP 2203 stock and add this beast..

Glad to hear you like it. I have two coming, but I'm going to take my little 9w "Scumbag" GA-8 Gibson conversion amps, add in a 65w speaker, and go to a club/open jam with it and freak people out with the extra power and the boost function.

Hee hee, it should be a kick ass little club amp rig at that point.

Yeah I forgot the most important feature to most is the re-amping ability..take your 1-whatever watt amp and turn it into a 100 watter! I don't have any lower wattage amps but I might have to pick one up and give it a try..

This is essentially a load box and power amp in one package?

I've got an '69 bass spec that I want to do some mods to, but I don't want to drill any holes in the chassis...so adding an effects loop to my amp is out of the question.

I was thinking about using a line out box and power amp for effects, but that would require two cabs.

If I'm reading correctly, the Unleash lets you run a speaker out==>Unleash (while adding effects)==>straight to your speaker cab. Is that right?

Yes sir..set your amp to 8 ohms out, plug speaker cable from amp into the Unleash, then you can run any 2 cabs of different impedances(4, 8, 16) out of the Unleash. Plug fx into loop, and also any single button footswitch will work out of the Unleash to switch the 2 channels. Raise one of the volumes higher and you have a boosted channel option. Pretty cool. No need to cut into your favorite Vintage amps.

yup, these things caught my eye just the other day. Would love to get one for my 1987 clone. The Ho attenuator works good, but the fx loop on the Bad Cat seems like an awesome extra feature.

Good to see more positive reviews of these. I was thinking of getting one just to keep my volume set the same on my amp all the time and using the Unleash as a master + volume boost. Would be nice to have a couple of these actually. Keep 1 at home and 1 in my rig.
