thinking of going bareknuckles for the esp horizon frII

painkillers i was thinking....amp is diezel herbert

will be for heavy rock, alternative etc. these have good harmonics?

no help on the BKs in a horizon but you might want to try an Anderson h3. I have one in my sc6 (basically a horizon) and it kills.

I've got a set in my NT-II and they're outrageously awesome. I play my axe through a VH4S and Hagen. I think the Diezels dig lower output pups generally speaking, but the ceramic PKs slaughter in my NT.

Just FYI,
Mo

And for what it's worth, I've got a set of Mircale Mans in my FR-II :D

Too high an output for the Diezels though... Just IMHO.

I love Bareknuckles, I'm a recent convert. Threw some painkillers in my LP and an Aftermath in my strat.
They are very satisfying pickups.
Understatement of the year, but well said :D

I went with the BKP Nailbomb alnico bridge and Cold Sweat neck for my NTII (no FR though)!!!

I love this combo!!! My jaw dropped when I played this guitar for the first time. They were installed immediately the guitar arrived at the store I ordered it from about 4 weeks ago. I also have a RY in a Kramer Baretta and had the Holy Diver's in a Carvin Bolt + and these are my fav combo of BKPs so far. I did replace the HDs with MCP Afwayu's, which are also killer pickups!!! I like the A-bomb bridge so much, I might remove the Suhr DSH+ in my Ibanez RG3120 and later replace the Air Norton with the CS neck.

I also dig the fact that you can tell Tim at BKP what wood your guitar's made out of, what amps you run through, and what sound you're looking for, and BAM!!! the pups are sent and it's all a reality.

Ya, I'm a huge BKP fan, and for the record, no, I don't work for them or get kickbacks

Yes, I agree!!! Great pickups indeed. Tim recommended Aftermaths, but I felt they were not for me since I do not play djent metal so I frequented the BKP forum and finally decided on the A-bomb/CS combo, but originally had HDs in mind, but after I had them in my Carvin Bolt +, I decided that they were not exactly what I was looking for, but I wanted to stay with Alnico pickups. I will eventually put BKPs or MCPs in all of my relevant guitars sometime in the near future.

I had a nailbomb in my horizon nt-II ....sounded great in there
