To those that currently own a Boss Waza Tube expander:

1. Can I use this unit as a guitar head? Plug straight in and have it power a 4x12?

2. Can I use this to power 2 additional cabinets, even if I have a head plugged in directly to a cab already for a total of 3 cabs?
(Marshall head plugged directly in a cabinet) Line out from Marshall head to BOSS unit, Boss into into 2 additional cabinets.

Thanks!

1. It doesn't have a preamp section. You can, but it will sound like plugging in directly to an effects return of an amp.

2. in theory yes, as long as you follow impedance requirements of your amp. For example, if you have an 8-ohm cab connected to the amp then you need to set the TAE speaker input to 8 ohms as well. You then plug both the cab and TAE to the two 4-ohm speaker outs of your amp (because two 8 ohms in parallel totals 4-ohms). You can plug the other two cabs to the TAE and set the impedance on it to match your other two cabs. You can also use the line out of your amp as you described.
