Anyone Know how different the regular BB preamp is compared to the Andy Timmons signature version? I already have a regular BB but a guy is selling an AT sig one and was wondering if its worth picking up the sig version and selling the regular one.

From what i hear the AT version has a little less mid-hump and compression im assuming it sounds more open since your getting rid of that upper mid TS'ness in the stock BB.

I didn't really want it, but if a good wrastlin is in order I'll be all over it

Present regular BB version is actually version 2. First ~3000 BBs were different: more compressend and gainy.
This is the version which Andy uses and prefers over the new BB.
This 1st version of BB has been re-released as a Andy Timmons signature :)

This.

Though I found the AT and the original (I had #7 ever made, as well as 5 other BBs-eeek) to be more compressed on the attack than the new ones. I prefer the new version, but I use almost no gain from them... mainly as a boost on a gainy amp

the new bb preamp MB (mid boost) is awesome. you can suck out some of the mids and it's really ampy and full sounding.
