Differences in the gain channels? Can you get the clean on the BE to breakup at all? The SS will not break up on the clean channel. Please if you own both or have had experience with both chime in, thanks!

No, I cannot get my BE to breakup on the clean channel. Only with the volume all the way up, treble, max, bass at noon, voice switch to the right, neck humbucker it breaks up when I hit a chord hard, but that's it. Dont know about the SS.

Yeah. the clean channel on the BE is very clean. not easy to break up at all.

I've got both & never got close to breakup on any clean channels!!
I don't believe they were designed for that - obviously the BE channel does dirty so clean is literally all clean

I've owned both - i agree i don't think the clean channel is really intended for break-up...its not like other amps that have clean channels with a separate gain so that you can get crunch out of them.

the gain channels have some similarity - the BE will be a bit tighter and 'crunchier'...the SS will be a little smoother, potentially a shade darker, and overall more vintage.
