Hey all,
First off: I love my Friedman BE-100; best amp I have ever played and owned. Thanks Dave!
I notice that the volume pot of the Clean channel is a bit "scratchy"? I read the manual (imagine that!
) and it states that it is normal for the Presence pot to be scratchy. Well, my volume pot sounds about the same, only the scratchy sound isn't as loud.. ? BE channel volume is dead-quiet, by the way.
I tried some different pre-amp tubes; some make it worse (louder), some make it better.. but it's always still there. This is not a big issue for me; playing live I don't even notice the pot being scratchy. Yesterday, while playing at home, I took notice again and thought I'd ask if this is normal. The amp sounds great, either way. Just wondering if I should maybe have her looked at.
Best regards,
Robert
