BE 100 updates??? Mr Friedman

I was wondering what the latest updates are to the BE 100? Is there another switch on the front panel of the namm show BE amp? Thanks.
 
There were also rumblings of an "updated-spec" BE-100 ... but have no idea what that means.
 
We added a gain structure switch ( lowers gain ). Also made the front voice switch do more.
 
One positions darkens it more. Other is more open. For the guys that want a smoother tone out of it.
 
Are these updates worth sending the amp in to have done? I read on another forum that the newer BE100 sounds much more aggressive and open than older versions. Is this true?
 
There are some changes to all the amps for 2016. Not so much the smallbox though. At least not yet..
 
Dave can the Buxom Betty reverb be added to the 2016 Dirty Shirley?

and/or on the SS-100, dave?
 
No changes to signature amps, the changes will start to happen this month. Might take a bit though.

does the lower gain switch effect the BE channel or the HBE boost mode?
is the impact sounding more like the PhilX gain?
 
It effects both. Its a gain structure for the whole amp.
 
Anyone here have any demos or comparison opinions yet of the new gain structure switch at lower gain knob settings vs regular BE100 gain knob dialed back? Just wondering if the update can get into better ACDCish type classic rock with the switch. Maybe a little less compression and open gain sound?.. sounds like a really good update idea for Friedman.

Yes it does exactly what you describe.
 
Will it interfere with other mods? Mine has JBE and VH on the front.
