Talk about embarrassing , this pedal sounds great if it could stay working. Something in the signal chain cuts in n out while playing. Sounds like a tube going bad. Get home with my head hanging down and I plug straight into amp no problems. Plug pedal board in problems start right away. Pull of out of chain no problems. Very disappointed in Friedman in general. Even if I mail it back its gonna be weeks to get pedal fixed after I had it for 3 weeks. How can I trust it won't do it again? Say what u will about boss, I never had one fail

Now I'm out 200 bucks. Should have just got something else

8 posts dog. Did you join just to complain about your pedal?

that's fine i totally understand him.. a friend of mine had 3 friedman heads already, all bought through thomann.de, including the BE100 and he ditched all 3 within the 30 days return policy of the shop because of huge hum/noise on all 3. His good old JCM800 2203 performs amazingly and when pushed with an sd-1 he can get to the same territory.. so why not save some money heh..

No not complaining but u can keep your pedal. I'm not impressed with any thing Friedman at this point. Complian? Spend two hundred bucks on a pedal to shit out in three weeks? And sorry I have a life, and I don't troll sites every spare moment.

might just be a faulty foot switch, sorry to hear it failed on you and you get it resolved. Mine F'n rocks!!

LOL! If it works fine in front of the amp and out of the chain, it's obviously bad cables in the pedalboard. How could you possibly conclude there is something wrong with the pedal?? Good grief, that is troubleshooting 101...

You beat me to it. This has to be a joke. Pedal works fine on its own, add a bunch of other gear to the chain and now there's an issue. Sounds like you can rule OUT the Friedman pedal as the problem.

Yes he sent me a email and didn't tell me that piece of info. Pedal is covered under warranty we can replace or repair it. I have not had any other issues at all with any pedals and we have shipped a staggering amount. Not saying a switch couldn't be defective though. It can happen.... As for the other guy with amps seems strange to me 3 amps had issues and I had never heard a thing about it at all.

Actually I reread that he said when he pulled it out of the chain no issues. Either way I'm here to take care of it. Priority mail it to me I'll fix or replace and send it right back priority mail. It will take around a week with sipping and repair.

all i can say is if you're going to walk away from anything or anyone that has an issue, you're going to be pretty unhappy in life.

Shit happens, every day, with all manner of things - even more so if you are talking about musical/electrical equipment.

obviously, it would be better to not have to deal with fixes but i just view it as a necessary consequence of having stuff.

are you really under the impression that others (probably many others, in the grand scheme of things) haven't had issues with Boss pedals? or that every boss pedal out there works fine out of the box? lol

Every thing works fine without the pedal . that's what was I ment. And yes I would rather be giging 50-60 times a year rather than have three thounds posts about how much money I spend

I do thank Rack systems for there quick response and solutions. I've emailed my info to your link thanks again.

3 amps in 30 days sounds like BS....you don't like the Pedal move on down the road. sorry about your luck. quit whining

Stop slinging negative opinion about things you have no firsthand experience with. If he had all three amps with hum/noise problems it is more likely than not, an issue unrelated to the amp and likely has more to do with his rig or power issues.

I have 2 Friedman amps, 2 Friedman Cabs, 1 Friedman FRFR speaker/amp combo, multiple mods, and the BE OD . In over four years, I have never had one problem. Hell, I haven't even had a tube fail yet. Moreover, any problems that I have seen other RT'ers have, Dave has responded to and fixed with the utmost speed and courtesy. There is absolutely no one that I know of that provides better or equal customer service than Friedman amps or Dave Friedman (or Peter Diezel for that matter). You get what you pay for, and Friedman amps has a universal reputation for building exceptional quality products and providing unparalleled customer support. How many manufacturers respond on a board directly to issues like this? Not many.

If your going to talk trash about someone's business, do it with your own first hand experience. Talking shit about a company based on what happened to someone else is rumor mongering, childish, and makes you seem like a ten year old girl. This is someones business and livelihood.

I agree with Kalt's post above 100%.

I've had 5 Friedman amps. I currently have 2 of them, a BE100 and Phil X. They are made with incredible quality and I had no hum issues with any of them. I had a hum issue once that was due to bad power at the outlet, NOT the amp's fault. I would assume that was the problem with the guy who had 3 with "hum issues."

Dave is extremely helpful and communicates great, especially for how busy he is. He's done quite a few mods on my BE for me, and has one of my Marshalls right now. Can't get much better customer service.

From what I've read here, Dave is completely willing to fix the alleged pedal issue in a reasonable amount of time. So the OP really needs to rethink coming on here and blasting on Friedman. Totally unwarranted IMO.

I did work things out and the pedal will be replaced. It is a problem with the pedal. That's been proven. Saying things after an embarrising moment on stage, due to specific equipment faliure may not have been appropriate in a blog situation. If you need to judge me on that then feel free, though I don't think for a moment everyone who judges isn't guilty of the same thing from time to time. I'm not going anywhere and all previous post were doing research on my next amp. I gig my equipment hard and take care of it equally as hard. I want top notch and I'm willing to pay top notch. Am I a rock star? Not by any means but its a passion of mine that I am passionate about. It resolved and Rack systems was fast in response and so far equal in results. And for that I am great full. Most comments on this were equily if not worst though out than mine. So feel free to judge

Well, I'm glad he worked it out, but give the guy/company a chance to fix the problem before shitting on him/them!
As far as amps, I've played 10-15 Friedmend and especially the latest black PCB boards and DC heater scheme, there is no noise issues.
