I was looking for a clip to get an idea of the clean channel in the BE100. I am between the BE and the SS and not sure yet...

Mark Day posted some BE100 clips of the clean channel. I thought I might have an issue with the simple cleans lack of controls but got to say it sounds great, awesome clean tone works well with all of my guitars, plenty of fatness and bottom and 3 position bright which I set to its brightest setting for that strat chime and clack I like.

Thanks, I saw that vid but can't remember any cleans

Here is a clip I did last month with the simple clean.

For those who have played a BE100 at volume, does the clean channel have enough headroom to keep up with the gain channel and stay clean? Does it have enough headroom to take gain pedals as well?

I recently sold my PT100 to make a move over to a BE100 or SS100. The PT had an amazing clean channel, but the gain channel was always fizzy or too bright to me. I used pedals into the clean channel all the time for overdrive sounds when I didnt need a full out higher gain sound. Just wondering if the clean channel on the BE will work for me in that regard.

The clean channel has no problem keeping up with the gain channel and stays clean. You can also get a decent broken up tone with the right pedal.

Not really looking to push the clean channel to break up. Mainly looking for the clean channel to be a good platform for overdrive pedals and then kick over to gain channel for the rock tones.

Looking forward to grabbing one of these or an SS100. Just waiting on some good demos of the SS to make up my mind. The full clean definitely looks cool, but the simple clean clips sound great too. Probably can't go wrong.

The BE simple clean works very well with pedals. I'm using the Bogner Red with it now and it sounds great. Your right though...can't go wrong either way. Best of luck!

My experiences were different. An XTS Atomic OD pedal worked well (though I did not like the bottom end and bass response that seemed to be inherent in the pedal), but my SixStrings Firebreath distortion pedal which is a good, albeit bright pedal, did not sound good no matter what setting I tried. Through the clean channel of my Bogner the same pedal sounds good. I have a host of other OD pedals that I have yet to try through that clean channel. YMMV

Well I'm sure you know that not all pedals work with all amps. Just the way it is.
