BE100 to Mixer...

You guys playing the BE100 Live, how are you getting to the mixer?

Mic the cab?
Line out to (DI BOX?)to mixer?
Other?

I'll admit to being a little spoiled here...my Mesa Mark V:25 has cab emulator balanced output that I just run an XLR to the board - DONE.
I just mic'd the cab Friday night but if I could use the line out and keep another Mic off the stage, I'd rather... ;)

I always mic live.

I can't use my Line out at all (to a emulator or amp or anything). Massive Hum that overpowers the guitar signal.

Yes, you need some type of speaker simulator you cannot run straight into the board from the line out and expect to get a good tone

Two Notes Torpedo Live

I had a gig with a horrible upstairs load-in a couple weeks ago. Sound guy ended up running me direct so my cab was just the load + stage volume ... the following Monday I read about the Torpedo Live and got REAL interested!

philb, Do you use yours live without a cab and just rely on the monitors for stage volume? For smaller shows, I'd love to keep my heads but go cab-less. I'm not sure how well it would actually work in the real world though.

To tie into this thread, I was looking at the Sweetwater financing deal for the BE100 and the Torpedo Live and selling everything but my Naked and possibly Dual Rec.

i still use the cab and still rely on the amp for stage volume.
I run through the torpedo live to get a great miced up amp.
I don't run full load since it's hit or miss with monitors

Two Notes Torpedo Live looks interesting but it costs half a SMALLBOX.  I'll just keep using a mic for now I guess. ;)
Thanks guys

I've been using an Aiken gold brick and really like it...we setup and run our own sound so it's helped make it easier and more consistent.

I still have a cab though...
