That is very cool! Love how it's set up for fills and transitions! What price point are you going for?

Cheers

Looks $200 initially, retailing for $300 after that.

How does this not get effected by the amps distortion?

Good practice tool I would think.

I signed up. Lord knows I've spent money on worse. This would be ideal for open mic nights!

Digitech has had atleast some beats or rythmn tracks on thier multi-units for years.

But yea, this is pretty cool.

Pretty cool!!! But I had a few questions..

1. Seems like you really need to feel the beat and hit the pedal just prior to the fill to keep it in time correct? Not a problem for me considering I am also a drummer.

2. The expression pedal. How did it go from some claps to a crash sound? I am assuming you can only pick one accent. That would take some pedal board dancing to use it for a cover band in place of a drummer I figure.

3. Can you load a beat you created for a cover tune so it is used in a way like a midi track for live use?

4. If used in conjunction with a loop, how does the tone not get drenched in say delay that is also being used?

Excellent questions!

1. The fill always ends at the end of the bar. Now, since each fill has different lengths it would be hard to hit the pedal exactly when the fill is supposed to start. So what happens is that when you hit the pedal, if you hit it before the fill is supposed to start, it starts on time. If you hit it after it was supposed to start, it plays the remainder of the fill to the end of the bar, so the fill always plays on time, regardless of when you hit the pedal. That makes it easy for a distracted guitarist to throw in fills without worrying to be exactly on time!

2. Yes, the accent hit controlled by the footswitch is only one sound per song part - so you can set it to clap for the verse, cymbal crash for the chorus -- or whatever you want.

3. Yes, you can load any midi or wav file.

4. The BeatBuddy is the last thing on your signal chain -- unless you want a reverb effect on the drums as well. You don't want the drums going into a looper because then the looper loops the drums... did I understand and answer your question correctly?

Duh   ;)

Loading your own files is cool. If you play your own files can you still use pedal to add files?

Yes all questions answered thankyou! Sounds like a great solution for a band not wanting a drummer or not able to get a drummer!! The question with regards to the loop was not a looper pedal but more the loop of an amp. if i have delay-verb-drum buddy, i should in theory have that tone blended in with the overall tone of the amp but am unsure as to how the drum buddy's tone goes unaffected by effects or distortion. Can you explain that?

What about AdrenaLinn?
You're 12 years late

Does the AdrenaLinn have the ability to do the on fly drum pattern changing, fills etc like this does?

I don't know, you can read the 88 pages manual to see all its functions ;)

I'm commenting on "The world's first Guitar Pedal / Drum Machine hybrid! " which is a 100% completely false statement

Well I'm not going to bust the guys balls on the "first" thing but I looked at the drum section on the AdernaLinn manual and it doesn't function like this. I'd prefer this as far controlling drums go.

AdrenaLinn is programmed more like a classic drum machine... coming from the guy who invented drum machines, you would expect that :)
