Bernie Rico Jr, Safe to buy?

a quick search of these disclosed some drama like unfinished guitars, bankruptcy,were possibly stolen, does anybody have any additional information I have a local one for sale and the seller only wants Bean$

I cant speak for any other than the one i had but i had a Jekyll 727 that was part of an axe palace run back in 2010, and it had some of the worst neck dive ive ever had in a guitar and it struggled to stay in tune for more than a few minutes. It looked pretty nice and the fretwork was very good but i had a love/hate relationship with it, and in the end the hate won lol. YMMV
