What would you guys recommend as the best device to use to switch between or run simultaneously different heads and cabs? I know Jens Kruse makes one that looks interesting, but I’m not as familar with the others out there and would be curious to hear your guys’ thoughts

I would look at the Ampete switchers. Not the cheapest but they work very well. I don't think you can run heads simultaneously though. I think you can pick one head at a time, but you can run cabs simultaneously. I have their 444 model which you can hook up 4 heads, 4 cabs, midi and a shared FX loop so you can run your pedal board on any of the heads with a push of the button. Good luck!

Mesa announced some a couple of months ago, the head switcher had a handy feature when you could share one effects loop for both heads. Not heard any reviews on them but knowing Mesa I'm sure they'll be pretty good.

They're called the head track and the switch track.

I've had 2 of the Lehle pedals, one an ABY and the other a cab switcher. They are very good, no grounding issues or tone suck. But the Radial Bones I think, is as good as the Lehle ABY for less money. I tried the Radial twin city and it had some tone suck, shaved some top end. But the next step up is the Bones version and sounded better. Haven't tried any other Radial product so not sure about the cab switcher, or if they even make one.

If you plan no more than 3 amps at once, the Brunetti Matrix is a very good all-in-one solution. Plug your guitar in, then it goes to three pedal loops in front, then to three amps (fourth output for tuner), then back in for two independant effect loops, then to a single or two cabs.

So in short, it switches 3 heads into one cab with pedals in front and common effect loop. Very handy.

This is an excellent suggestion. I'm not sure, but check Radial to see if they carry what your looking for.
