That's pretty much it. I have a BBE unit that I like. I want 8 outputs, voltage selection isn't a big deal, none of my rigs use anything overly power hungry stuff. I am also fine with connecting two outs to get an 18V. MUST be isolated.

I at the end of the day, I need three. Not in a rush. Used is always a bonus.

I don't want to spend more than I have to.

Probably the Harley Benton ISO 1 Pro @ Thomann:

https://www.thomann.de/intl/harley_bent ... _1_pro.htm
Less than $50.

Or the ISO 2 Pro (under $65):
https://www.thomann.de/intl/harley_bent ... _2_pro.htm

I have their Powerplant Junior (5 isolated outputs, ~$30), which I've been using on my gigging pedalboard for 6 or 7 years now without a hitch.

Otherwise, I can recommend Cioks, but they're quite a bit pricier. For my home board I use the Cioks ADAM.
For 8 outputs:

I am in the US coiks is pricy, and I am not sure how much I trust HB.

Damn though that HB does look like a solid deal. Decent enough reviews.

Has anybody stateside bought from thomann?

FYI, I have a strong suspicion that the Palmer PWT 08 is just a rebadged HB ISO 2 Pro at a higher price (around $100);

Palmer:

There's a positive test/review of it here:
https://blog.adamhall.com/en/2016/02/03 ... bonedo-de/

Harley Benton:

Also good is the fact that they both would fit under a Pedaltrain Nano (max height 31mm).

EDIT: I found the 'original' one of which both the Harley Benton and Palmer are derived/rebadged:
Vitoos DC8.

Interesting read here:

EDIT #2: stuff gets more interesting; apparently Vitoos either re-badged their DC8 to 'ISO-8' (probably after a cease and desist letter from Cioks, since they already have a DC8 product) or they redesigned it:

On a related note, it looks like the Palmer PWT4 is intended as a copy/competitor of the Cioks ADAM, but without the 12V switching on 2 outputs:

I wanted to have options because I probably will want to try who knows what in the future. So I like the One Spot Pro I have. I think it will only cost a tiny bit more to get exactly what you want plus an upgrade (I always try to upgrade a little lol).

Another thing to consider; if you get a pedal like a BE-OD Deluxe and it has the option to use 9v or 18v and they say it sounds different...then it's awesome to be able to A-B test it on your board easily and know which you prefer. Or maybe you're getting low on 9v jacks and you get a pedal that gives you the option (like an Empress Para EQ) so you use the available 18v jack.

I have a Vitoos DC8 and it works well. It’s only three isolated outputs though. Two which are switchable between 9/12/18 volts, and then one which is all of the 9 volt sockets daisy chained together.

That ISO8 above doesn’t imply all the 9 volt ones are the same output so maybe it’s been redesigned and it’s actually 8 isolated outputs now.

I like the DC8, never had a problem. Some slight switching noise from the power supply when I’m not using a noise gate and I have the volume up loud, but never been enough to annoy me.

I would thing the best bang for your buck would be a nuclear power plant lol

damn they are more expensive than i thought. if i am spending over $100, its probably going to be this:

https://www.musiciansfriend.com/accesso ... wer-supply

its $120

or a used voodoo labs pp2+

fuck spending $150+ on a power supply. i may hold off on this. since i need multiple.
If you were to aim for over $120 I'd go for the Truetone 1 SPOT PRO CS12. Thing is great, built like a tank and can handle a lot of shit really good for stay at home pedal boards with tons of shit plugged into it

Anything I've bought in the past that used a wall wart for power, has ended up noisy one way or the other.

Best bang for the buck power supply I've found is truetone 1 spot pro series. CS6, CS7 and CS12. Depending on your needs.

This is as good as others that cost 5 times as much.

https://www.thomann.de/intl/harley_bent ... junior.htm

The only quieter solution is a battery solution. I am sure there are better devices our there if you want to spend more, but there are also worse devices that cost a lot more.

I used rechargeable batteries that I soldered myself before because I hate noise, hiss, hum and high-pitched squeals from fucking transformerless switching power supplies.

I do not know this unit:
https://www.thomann.de/intl/harley_bent ... _2_pro.htm

I personally do not like that it has a separate wal wart. To me that kind of defeats the purpose of having a proper power supply with that wimpy thing attached.

I snagged a pair of decibel 11 smd stones. $90 a pop.

Nice, can't go wrong at that price. I have the Decibel 11 hot stone deluxe and its been great, even handles me slightly exceeding the ratings on the outputs here and there.

Long term I am going to be moving to the cioks DC7 to handle all my high current pedals. The truetone CS7s have been disappointing for me when you start to push them, hooked up two 9V 500mA Kingsley pedals to the 2 500mA outputs on the CS7 and it couldn't handle them. The Cioks does without issue.

I don't use anything with a high draw,so I am not concerned. Their midi controllers have been great for me so at the price I figured I may as well get two.
