Best cab for EVH Stealth?

Curious to see what you guys think would be the best cab match… I am trying to match my new EVH 5150 Stealth head with one of my cabs. My cabs are: Bogner Uberkab 4x12 (FL, stock), Friedman 4x12 (2 GBs/2 v30s stock), 2 Splawn 4x12s (1 with V30s, 1 with Creamback 65s), and a Marshall 4x12 1960a (V30s/t75s in X). I have been playing it through the Uberkab and it sounds really great but thinking maybe the Splawn V30s would be better. I know this is pretty subjective and obviously I will try all combos, but curious to see if these have been tried before and opinions.

go for the matching cab man.. and if you need something more on the modern/edge sound... I used to run my old 5150 III with a mesa traditional cab 4X12 with great results.. a friend of mine went has a stealth fullstack it sounds superb!we tried his head on my mesa and still superb I guess it's the amp heh

yea it is a great amp. I was trying to see what would be the best fit out of what I already have, already owning 5 cabs I don't see myself getting another just for the EVH when I am sure out of these 5 there is a really good match. But I am sure the EVH cab is great.

Of the cabs you have I'd bet the Ubercab is gonna be the best. If you have the chance try a VHT 412 FatBottom with the P50E speakers. Tight, punchy, thick - not at all murky or dull.

That was my first thought as well, but have been curious so I am about to do a cab shootout with all these, but wanted some preliminary opinions before hand. Yea I have heard many great things about that VHT Fatbottom cab.

I use my Stealth with a UberKab. Its so far the best sound I got from it. The EVH cab has low wattage speakers in it, I didn't like it at all.

cool, thx. good to know on the EVH cab. really wasn't looking to add another cab. but yea I am happy with the Uberkab, the 75s aren't bothering me as I expected them to. Didn't really like the Uberkab with my 20th Shiva though.

Matching cab here as well. For me the EVH cab has a little magic. I first used it with my 6505"s and it worked killer with them. As well as my 5153 and my 5153 Stealth!

I like the 5153 4x12 but not the 2x12. I prefer the 100s with v30s. Scored a pair on England made v30s to drop in my Splawn 2x12. Should finally have them installed this week.

When I got my Stealth, I played it through a few cabs: Marshall Silver Jubilee RI 4x12 (v30's), EVH 2x12 (g12h30's Anniversary ), and EVH 4x12 (greenbacks). I thought the EVH 4x12 was dark. The EVH 2x12 was very good! The Marshall was OK.

I ended up with a Friedman 4x12 with the v30's on bottom/greenbacks on top. It just sounds great! Right amount of everything! Bass, mids, treble, tightness...!

With all of your cabs, can you do a demo comparing the cabs?

yea i am thinking either the uberkab, splawn v30, or friedman cab will be it. sorry man not too much of a studio setup over here minus an 11 rack and some yamaha hs8s. i could maybe get an iphone 6s video, but honestly this whole thread was done to try and save myself some time, haha. i find demo'ing 5 cabs to be not the most fun thing for me to do. i would rather be writing haha. but yea i will end up trying them all, I will take some video, prob a good idea and good way to track the differences anyways. it is just so subjective and so much can be done with EQ shifts that it becomes a mind f*ck after like 3 cabs.

I play mine thru Randall Lynch Box cabs. Two 4x12's. Has emenince Super V speakers in it. Slightly ported in the back.
Every amp I play thru these cabs just has a nice deep lush sound. Not murky or dark.
They dont make em any more but if you can get your hands on one....you will love it.

Bought one new it was about $1100 I think?
Found a used one on Guitar Center used site for $650. I had it shipped to my local store for like 25 bucks.
Keep your eyes peeled. They rarely pop up. But they do.

that sounds cool too... i can remember my old 5150 sig head sounding really good through my splawn cab w/ creambacks (well as good as that amp could sound haha) another option i was thinking about is to mix the splawn cab speakers to be v30/creambacks in x pattern.... decisions...
