Best Friedman to nail the Lynch 80's tone

I am the proud new owner of a new Friedman Taco as my entree into the Friedman amp world with hopefully more to come. I am running it dry into a 2-12 Cel V30 cab right now in hopes of trying a few different pedals in front to help drive it a bit more. One tone I would love to get and play with is that 80's Lynch tone from the Back For The Attack album days. What Friedman amp nails that tone the best ? And, any tips on how I might try using my Taco to possible get close to that.
P.S. Also a huge Sykes tone fan. I guess I am stuck in the 80's metal days :-)

The Small Box or BE100 can both do that sound well. I'd say the BE is a bit closer.

Like "LPMojoGL" told you the BE-100 on the HBE Channel with a Boost (koko boost, Rocket Fuel) are your ticket to Lynch land.

The Friedman Naked sounds pretty good here.

I know that the Naked is based on the Naylor Superdrive, and Lynch keeps a Naylor around and uses it sometimes. It's definitely capable of thick, tight gain, but doesn't nail the BFTA tones, imo. Great, great amp.
I'd say the BE100 is instant Dokken tone.

Actually I would disagree with this I would say BE Channel, I would be surpised if Lynch even uses the HBE channel when he uses his Friedman live (not even sure he still uses one.

Lynch use a lot of gear to play live behind his Trademark amp but Soldano SLO and a Friedman Dirty Shirley are the ones most reported by fans as his secret weapons, this without forgeting he use a pedalboard with a lot of pedals for different sounds. that can be seen in a lot of you tube recent George clinics and Lynch mob Live shows. Since i don't use high output pickups the HBE with a boost or with sat switch thats would get on Lynch land,Ratt and other Greats from the BE with sat or Boost and a nice strat can get you into Vito Bratta territory.

Interesting, we're saying that Lynch's tone can be covered by the Naked, SLO, BE, HBE and even Dirty Shirley...lol

What does that tell us, class? :D

I think it tells us that Lynch changes his gear often.

He suffers from guitar OCD like many of us.

..and the whatever gear he gets, he has a sound in his mind and his fingers, and he turns the knobs, adds effects and his fingers do the rest. He is "the Lynch sound".

:)
