looking at a looper pedal to add some fun/color to my solo/dual acoustic shows....I've read some reviews, but it seems they are either a love/hate fest.....
I have no experience with a looper, and there are some great deals out now....but there are some things I'd prefer....but can't seem to find if they are features that cost more, or standard features that don't get mentioned.
So.......
1) I'd like to be able to record loops/phrases...and either be able to play back at a later time in the song....not just have it playback right when its done recording.
2) I'd also like to be able to record and store loops...so in case there is a song that uses verse & chorus for the solo...I can just click that loop on. I understand that this takes a tighter grip on timing....which leads to #3
3) I'd like something that offers a BPM type reading.....some sort of blinking LED that if I pull up recorded phrase #24, which lets say would be Gel by Collective Soul....I can step on the pedal and start the recorded phrase, but previously...when I access that phrase, it would give me a BPM that blinks at the rhythm of the recorded loop. This would help start the song at the appropriate tempo, or close to it...so when the loop kicks in...its not a drastic conflict of pace.
So...any pedals that meet those ideas? or what pedals do you use...and what are the pro/cons.
