I'm looking for a low wattage 15-30w amp that could do 80's metal and Blues.
somthing that has a lead boost or FX loop would be great.

Orange Tiny Terror. No bells or whistles though. I had one for a bit, great little amp.

It'll do nice cleans right up to thrash distortion. It did the 80s best though.

I've managed a decent 80's metal tone with a HT-5 and a boost, something like a Keeley SD-1.

Fargen Olde 800, the 25W version. Or maybe the 30W Cornford Roadhouse.

The JCA20H is a pretty nice little amp. I prefer my Randall RM20 head with a Egnater Rebel 112x cabinet. Great little combo.

Fortin Cali Modded 100 watt MArshall. :D Seriously, it does low volume soo good that i don't need a low wattage head.

for a low-wattage 100% TUBE amp set-up and NOT looking to spend more than $500 or so bucks,my pick is a Randall RM20 head.you can get one used for around $350-$400.they have a very good tube-buffered fx loop AND a boost function.along with that you can pick up one of 15 or so different Randall MTS modules, for around $100-$130 for a used one.you can boost them with a good overdrive/dist pedal OR send it off to dave friedman(or RT forum member "pete" aka "stratotone") to get modded/hot-rodded,as they turn out AWESOME.i like the Randall RM series amp heads/modules better than the Orange Tiny Terror or Blackstar HT-5.plus what's cool,is that you can purchase a second or third MTS module for an entirely different sound.that way you're not stuck with ONE amp with ONE tone.another descent-sounding little amp head, although solid-state,is the Marshall Micro-Stack...
