Wondering peoples thoughts on the best cabs out there for best metal cab and speakers. Like the bogner and celestion g12-80's.

There is no "best". Use whatever sounds good to you.

I'm a fan of VHT Fatbottoms with K100s, but it depends on the amplifier.

A pretty good speaker combo is Mesa spec V30's with Mesa C90's in an "X" pattern in a Mesa Recto straight/slant 4X12. Worked well with all amps I've thrown at it.
Or you can try this combo in a different cab, the V30's have the cut and the high mids covered while the C90 has the low mid girth and tighter bottom end!

Engl Pro with V30's has a mid roar that's hard to beat for metal. The Mesa Traditional with V30's is very good too, lower mids but tighter than the recto cab.

Straight out of the box, the stock Bogner UberKab is straight up business. The cut of the 30s with the sizzle of the 75s makes this cab a great choice for stock metal.

Another vote for the Fryette lineup, but the speakers will be an additional cost if you're not happy with the stock cones. Excellent build quality for the price - I'm a fan of Steve's stuff...quality through and through. I've got a Deliverance but have experience with the FB. Deliverance is more slippery, FB is tight and punching.

Diezel FL 4x12 loaded with G12K100 is a very neutral EQ'd cab, and takes many higher gain heads with zero issue. Holds tight, but delivers thunderous bass.

There you have it.

[Edit: Heard a lot of good props and kudos to the V30 loaded oversized Mesas, but have zero first hand experience with any of 'em]

I've heard that an X pattern of V30's and K100's is a crushing tone but never had the opportunity to try it. Currently I use two cabs: a Marshall 1960BV. (V30'S) and a Splawn 4 x 12 with Big Blocks and Small Blocks in an X pattern. Excellent tone.

I use a Marshall 1960BHW and i love it but i'm always open to other options.

The Carvin legacy cabs are very tight, full sounding, and won't break the bank. a very under rated cab

Welcome Captain Crunch!
I've been using a 5153 4x12, bone stock, 85% of the time. I also love the Recto 4x12 with stock V30s, the Mark series 4x12 with 4 EVM-12L and a Harry Joyce 4x12 with Scholz speakers, in case I want to scare people(meanest sounding 4x12 I've heard!).

I have been around a very large circle on cabs/speakers and over the past few years. Marshall, Mills, Mesa, Bogner, Cameron, Diezel, Soldano, etc for cabs. Several styles of Scumbacks, many Celestions. I keep coming back to the vintage Marshall cabs. Fuck me I got tired of all the shit. Got a hand wired Marshall 412 straight with H30's. I haven't even thought twice about opening it up and it can do whatever you want and be metal as you need.

the mesa cabs with their slightly modified Vintage 30s. so smooth and delicious

For my taste ...
Peavey 4X12's built in the 80's with Celestion K85(now labeled K100). Can be found very cheap. I payed $200 for mine and like it better than my vintage Marshall cabs. But I removed the K85's and now has V30 on bottom & H30 on top. The K85's are in a 2x12.... and sold other set. But feel the 4 x K85's is best for many flavors of "metal"...

Diezel FL 2x12 w/EVM12L's delivers the br00tz for me. I need to try some K100's heard alot of good things.

this x4, lots of fun !

Trying to find the old JCM 800 cabs with the G12-80's. Hard to find.

yep!

I really can't get over the Mesa Standard 412. I've owned so many cabinets, and it's still my favorite.

This ^^^^

My personal fav setup is the v30's and gt12-75's x patterned. I use Marshall BV cabs and I have no complaints. I used to have an oversized mesa cab and it was to boomy for my taste.
