I'm in Texas. Should I buy direct from BKP or is there a distributor for the US?

I've never purchased from them, but Rainbow Guitars seems to have the best prices I can find online.

Axe Palace has got incredible pricing.

I've bought direct from BKP prior to realizing how good Axe Palace is - my next set's coming from AP.

You can buy directly from them and get the pickups faster than US retailers if they have to order them. If the US retailers already have them in stock then of course they are faster.

Remember for US customers you don't have to pay the VAT tax, the BKP prices on their website already has the VAT added. They will remove it at checkout for US customers. So if there is a pickup you want and the US dealers don't have them, it is faster to order directly from BKP. They have averaged, 1 to 2 weeks in my experience.

The BKP website lists prices that have the VAT tax added. US customers don't have to pay this tax and BKP removes this at checkout, the Axe palace prices are without the VAT tax and is pretty much in line what you would pay BKP without the VAT tax. I have purchased from both places. So the prices really aren't much lower for US customers.

Good to know

Yep, of course US dealers are the best place if they have them already in stock, but if they don't I have found I get the pickups directly from BKP faster than if I order through a dealer.

I went ahead and ordered direct. I need gold covers to match my LPand rainbow guitars didn't have that in stock. After they take off the 20% VAT its not bad at all. Can't wait! Went with calibrated nailbombs with a ceramic magnet in the bridge per their recommendation.

I've purchased 6 calibrated sets of BKP direct from BKP and I can most certainly tell you the price is not the same as the price being offered by Axe Palace. I'm in Canada, if that changes anything, but for the record - just sayin...

Here is a painkiller from Axe palace 139.00

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Bare-Knuckl ... 1c2ec24d99

From BKP it is 104 pounds = 167.00 US minus 20% tax = 133.40

So actually raw price is cheaper but of course there is shipping cost that will drive the price higher.

My point is that if you can get them from a dealer, do so. But if you can't, buying from BKP is not that much more expensive.

Dealers will usually wait before actually ordering pickups until they have enough to make it worthwhile.

Nothing wrong at all with Axe Palace, ordered from them many times.

Just an FYI, if you buy direct, you can do a pickup exchange if you don't like it within X amount of days. A pickup exchange from a dealer would have to be at the dealer's discretion.

I went with this set up also, and love them.
