Probably not the best place to ask but I'm going to get a bugera amp and a POS cab to jam with some friends for fun.

GC has some serious POS cabs for sale but idk what would be best.

Raven RC412 - $63
Roland GC405s - $75
Behringer BG412s - $75
Line 6 spider 412 - $80
Legion Sound Emi412 - $80
Ibanez - $85
B52 - $100

So yeah, super budget cheap as possible cab but still a few options. I'm leaning towards the Raven because it's the cheapest but if there was a huge tonal difference id spend an extra $40 and might go with a B52.

If anyone knows anything about low end cabs post your thoughts.

I don't think your going to find much difference, as far as quality goes.
Best thing to do is play through each and pick one that you like the best.
If it were me I would try and figure out which one has the best quality
speakers in it, to sell on ebay, lol.

I got my peavey 412 vtm for free. its actually a really good cab too.

bought the amp and cab dirt cheap, and then sold the amp for what I paid for them both.

I'd look for a well used Marshall 1960 cabinet. Sometimes you can get those for $200.

Other good options are Peavey cabs, Carvin cabs, etc.

Not sure what model it was but I used to have a B52 cab that sounded really good.

Slim chance there are V30's in the B52 cab.

Just look for the most tore up Marshall cab for cheap. Otherwise, your choices are all basically the same.

Some Peavey MS cabs are choice. Some Crate Blue Voodoo cabs have V30's.

I'll give another vote for the B52. A band mate had one a while back, it's a little high on the midrange, but it can't cut like a mother fucker. Decent little cab, I preferred it over my Carvin at the time.

I had a great sounding cheap Ampeg cab that was loaded with 75's

Peavey cabs seem to be 100 or so on Craigslist all the time, and they have decent Celestions like K85s, K100s and GT75s.

I've had a few of those. Last one I got for $120 in excellent shape. I used the speakers in other projects and sold the empty cab for $25. So I basically had $95 into four G12T-75s, two of which I still use for band practice.

Not POS but Marshall and Carvin cabs (I own both) are great for the prices they can be had.

wow thanks for all the replies. Was not expecting much seeing all the high end gear going about on here.

This is going to be the cheapest rig ever lol.

I narrowed it down to two cabs. The B-52 shipped from Guitar Center OR there is a Basson (red, white, and blue) cab locally for the same price. Not sure, the B52 will probably be better if I ever wanted to upgrade (especially with the rig I'll be using) vs. the neutral Basson but it's still up in the air.

I should have the cab next week. I ordered a .44 magnum pedal and have the Bias amp on my phone. Pretty sure they will work together? (if not ill get a cheap preamp)

But that will be my rig lol...It's just to jam with some friends for now. I quit doing the band thing after I had my kid and sold all my gear. Haven't really played much lately but I have had the itch.

Ibanez S540 > Bias iphone app > .44 Magnum > Cheapest cab I can find =

-not on your list, but KRANK cabs are awesome-

used a krank with texas heat speakers in it, wasnt bad. a little dark.

the krank was built heavy duty. i think with some different, higher rated speakers it'd have sounded a bit better.

Had a B 52 cab about 10 years back. Thing sounded really good.

Word. Well to anyone that was curious....

I got the B52 cab from GC for $142 shipped. Was the ATX 412. Was in pretty decent shape. It had one flappy piece of tolex and a few scuffs on top from whatever amp head was tossed on and off but otherwise is great.

I haven't had time to really dial in any tones nor have I opened up the cab yet to see the speakers but I was actually very impressed.

Best $275 rig I think I would have been able to find. Going to really dial it in over the weekend and going to jam with a drummer next week. Should be alot of fun, thanks for the input.
